Deze nieuwe film belicht de brandstichting door rechts-extremisten op het Trade Union House in het centrum van Odessa, die het begin was van de burgeroorlog in Oekraïne. 'Wildvuur: De Oddessa wreedheden van 2 mei 2014' is uitgebracht in Duitsland en Engels ondertiteld. De 45 minuten durende film is geproduceerd door leftvision.de en Ulrich Heyden en Marco Benson.

Op 2 mei 2014 werden meer dan 40 anti-fascistische demonstranten vermoord door rechtse extremisten tijdens een brandstichting en de aanval op de Trade Union Huis in het centrum van de stad Odessa. Velen werden gedood nadat ze uit het brandende gebouw waren ontsnapt. De demonstranten hadden hun toevlucht genomen in het gebouw nadat hun protest kamp werd aangevallen door de nazi-bendes van burgerwacht-extremisten.

In Wildvuur worden ooggetuigen van de aanval op het gebouw en familieleden van de slachtoffers geïnterviewd. De video laat zien dat antifascistische demonstranten, die op dit moment gevangen zitten of onder huisarrest zijn, worden beschuldigd van misdaden, terwijl de werkelijke daders van deze brandstichting en moorden ongestraft zijn en vrij rondlopen.

Deze documentaire onderzoekt een van de belangrijkste gebeurtenissen in de burgeroorlog in Oekraïne en documenteert een verscheurde stad als gevolg van de tragedie van 2 mei 2014.

Independent German journalist Ulrich Heyden, creator of "Wildfire" (Lauffeuer), a documentary film about the events of May 2, 2014 in Odessa Ukraine, presented his picture at the Rossiya Segodnya International News Agency in Moscow on Friday.

Wildfire documents the events of the fateful day in May when a group of pro-Kiev radicals are alleged to have trapped and burned dozens of anti-government activists alive in the House of Trade Unions Building in Odessa, the picturesque Black Sea port city. Heyden conducts an independent journalistic investigation into the events, reflecting on recently uncovered evidence and presenting eyewitness testimony.

The film, presently available in Russian and German, begins in the run up to the Trade Unions Building fire, goes over the events, and features commentary from eyewitnesses on both sides. Screened in Berlin last month, Heyden noted that despite a favorable response, German media virtually ignored his work, while German television has made no offers to broadcast it.

"I feel that Germans have questions about what happened, and usually such films are shown. I have a feeling that about 30 percent of Germans would like to see this film," Heyden, a journalistic veteran with over 20 years' experience in Russia for a variety of German newspapers, noted.

Heyden plans to add subtitles to the film in several other languages, and to make it available for viewing on the internet, free of charge. Asked whether he would like to continue creating works on the crisis in Ukraine in the future, he noted that he does, but only when he saves enough money and has more time to devote himself to doing so. "I personally and several friends would like to do so, but after such hard work it is necessary to have a breather. Furthermore, this is volunteer work, so we will need to find sponsors with a good reputation. In this conflict, we as journalists must not take money from interested parties; therefore it will be difficult to find the necessary financing," Heyden noted.

"I am an optimist by nature and, on the basis of all my work in journalism, sincerely hope that the truth will win in the end," Heyden added.

Russian journalists watching the screening and meeting with Heyden afterwards commented that the film was objective, taking account of the opinions and positions of all sides associated with the events. News and analysis site Ukraina.ru editor Alena Berezovskaya commented that "the most difficult feeling is that of powerlessness; to change something, to have an impact," this is the goal for journalism. Berezovskaya voiced her gratitude to Heyden for risking his personal safety, for spending his money and time "in the aims of finding and communicating the truth."

Russian Civic Chamber member Maxim Grigoriev agreed with Berezovskaya, noting that "the fact that independent journalists like you exist is a great blessing for international journalism; this [film] is an act of serious civic courage."

Yuri, a man claiming to be an eyewitness to the film's subject matter, noted that Heyden's film put things in perspective, and reminded even witnesses about important details. "For example, your film talks about children in the House of Trade Unions. And yes, there really were children there, but I think that this is the first film that openly talks about it, that notes that they were there, and their fates remain unknown to me." Yuri added that "this tragedy will not remain only in our memory, and an investigation will [eventually] be held. Those who organized and participated in this punitive action will sooner or later be punished for their crimes, and perhaps your film will in some way assist in this process."

On May 2, 2014, rival rallies broke out in the southern port city of Odessa supporting and condemning the Euromaidan coup-empowered government in Kiev. Pro-Kiev protesters, including football hooligans and members of Right Sector militia, are alleged to have blocked anti-government protesters in the House of Trade Unions in the center of the city. The building was then set on fire, resulting in the deaths of 48 people and injuries to over 200 others, according to official statistics. Local public figures including Odessa's regional parliament MP Vadim Savenko, however, have accused Kiev of covering up the true death toll, saying that it maybe be as high as 116.

The events of the Ukrainian revolution of 2014 brought not only changes of the political landscape of the country but also transformation of Ukraine's very map. Thus, the Republiс of Crimea returned to Russia, and in the East of the country two new republics have been formed: Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Lugansk People's Republic (LPR), which historically were part of Novorossiya.

 

On November 2, 2014, local and state elections were conducted in DPR and LPR. The environment during elections was highly complicated by constant shelling, humanitarian crisis, shortage of qualified personnel. Despite all those facts, elections were initially designed to be as democratic and transparent as possible in the given circumstances.

 

There was heightened attention to the election campaigns in DPR and LPR by local, Russian and West European media. On the election day, in DPR alone there were 320 accredited journalists including those from the West Europe and USA. There were weekly news press-conferences conducted by local deputies, briefings for all participants and candidates in election process, and road trips of candidates to regions.

 

Percent of election participation was maximum possible in a war situaton. In both DPR and LPR there were queues of thousands of voters to election centres. Eventually, there were more than a million people who voted in DPR, and more than 700 000 those in LPR.

De online wereld vind ik echt geweldig! Ik lees wat ik wil, luister wat ik wil en bekijk wat ik wil. Radio en tv zijn voor mij alles behalve een gewoonte, louter een specifiek uitgezocht moment. En dan kijk of luister ik vaak ook nog een uitzending terug, in plaats van tijdens de reguliere programmering. Hiermee hou ik de teugels in eigen hand voor wat me bereikt en wanneer dat gebeurt.

Het leuke van een online blog hebben, of zelfs rond hangen op blogs en fora, is dat anderen soms met links en bronnen komen (uiteraard in je eigen interessegebied) die je op eigen houtje niet was tegen gekomen. Zo postte ik gisteren een jorte blog over Angela Merkel en de Azov fascisten, een extreemrechtse militante groepering in Oekraïne. Een bezoeker van dit blog reageerde met een link naar een PDF. En jawel, dat is precies zo'n moment waar ik op doel. Dit had ik mogelijk nooit zelf gevonden, maar is zeker de moeite waard om met de wereld te delen. Dus bedankt "Oligarch"!

Het is een Engelstalig boek, gratis te downloaden, over de ontwikkeling van nationalistische groepen in Oekraïne, vanaf 1991 tot aan het heden. Gezien de invloed van dergelijke groeperingen in het huidige Oekraïne, naar mijn mening een document wat niet mag ontbreken op je tablet, of zoals bij mij, uitgeprint in de kast. "We are often asked why the subtitle of the book is "From Democracy to Dictatorship", and do we think that the former regime of President Viktor Yanukovych was democratic. But it's not about that. We tell how popular protest initially under democratic slogans was brought under control and completely monopolized by neo-Nazis, who alone benefited from Maidana wins. This book is an attempt to see how the Ukrainian nationalism rather than unite the nation, as they say themselves his followers, its shared and thrown into chaos "- said Alexei Kochetkov.

The book contains many quotations of those people today who came to power in Ukraine or their ideological predecessors, here represented translations of large fragments of their programs to handle large amounts of information of the main resources of their activities.

The book describes the development of the Ukrainian radical nationalist groups from 1991 to the present, including the "Right sector" and Svoboda ("Freedom") party (up to 2004 - the Social-National Party of Ukraine), discusses their ideology, psychology and methods of political struggle.
Any revolution as a positive program uses the dominant ideas in society. In the Russian Empire in 1917, the trend was radical leftist ideology. In Ukraine in 2013-2014, the trend has become so radical nationalism that has absorbed pro-democracy and pro-European originally agenda.

Stanislav Byshok, a psychologist, a political analyst CIS-EMO: "Until recently, people in Russia always talked about Ukraine as a "brotherly country". Heeft u psychopaten in uw omgeving? Zitten er psychopaten op het Haagse pluche? Draaien de psychopaten aan de knoppen van de media?

De kans is erg groot dat dit zo is, al was u zich hier vast niet van bewust. Men denkt bij een "psycho" al snel aan de man met het mes die onder de dreiging van een piepend geluid de dame in de douchecabine aan flarden snijdt. Dat een grote aantal lieden in de zakewereld psychopathische trekjes heeft is eigenlijk geen geheim meer, maar toch onbekend voor velen. Ze doen het goed aan de top, maar als de bazen doorslaan is dat funest voor het bedrijf en het personeel, en mogelijk de maatschappij in z'n geheel...

De volgende documentaire, "I am fisheah - Are corporate leaders psychopaths?", laat een verhelderend beeld zien. Ineens vallen de puzzelstukjes op z'n plaats wanneer nagedacht wordt over de financiële crisis, de macht van grote bedrijven of het aldoor gelieg van politici.

Human Resources is een briljante documentaire van Metanoia films en regisseur Scott Noble die de opkomst van de mechanistische filosofie en de uitbuiting van mensen onder hiërarchische moderne systemen verkent.

De onderwerpen zijn het behaviorisme, wetenschappelijk management, de werkplek democratie, onderwijs, frustratie-agressie-hypothese en de menselijke experimenten.

Laat ik eerlijk zijn, zo veel werkelijkheid als in de documentaire verwerkt is, daar heb je een even tijd voor nodig om het te verteren. Serieus zware kost, maar essentieel in de beeldvorming van onze wereld.

Trivium methode - kritisch denken voor het dagelijks leven

 

Trivium
Het is alweer een tijd geleden dat ik tegen het fenomeen "The Trivium" aanliep, wat later vorm zou krijgen als Trivium methode. Kritisch denken deed ik al, vond ik zelf, dat was natuurlijke aanleg (kuch). Toch vond ik de duiding die ik in de Trivium vond erg prettig. Het gaf bevestigging, aanvulling en systeem in mijn denken. Een methode die ik steeds vaker, nu bewust, toepas. Ik denk dat het meerwaarde voor iedereen brengt, vandaar dat ik dit met genoegen wil delen.

Steeds meer komt het besef dat deze methode eigenlijk gewoon ingebakken in je denkpatronen dient te zitten, ongeacht de afkomst of leeftijd. Wat er van nature bij kinderen in zit, lijkt te verdampen wanneer we volwassen worden. Wat ook de reden is, als we zelf willen beslissen over onze gedachten en keuzes, dan zullen we terug moeten naar onze initiële state of mind. Een manier van denken van begin tot einde, van baby tot grootouder. Het is een continu systeem dat op de achtergrond moet draaien, een doorgaande dans of een doorlopend proces: Een continue cirkel.

Maar we beginnen bij het... begin.

Trivium wordt gebracht als de drie-eenheid "Grammar, Logic, Rhetoric". In het Nederlands grammatica, dialectiek en retorica. Ook exact in die volgorde!. Het maakt vanuit de oudheid deel uit van de "7 liberal arts": Trivium en Quadrivium. Voor de volledigheid bestaat het Quadrivium uit rekenkunde (arithmetica), meetkunde (geometria), muziek (musica) en astronomie (astronomia).

Eerst was het allemaal vrij abstract en Engelstalig qua informatie. Informatie verschilde ook per bron of richting. Wanneer ik in het Nederlands zoek kom ik al snel op een dik betaalde cursus uit, iets dat niet altijd bij me past. Ook een goed bedoelde Trivium website voor kinderen. Hoewel goedbedoeld, refereert het voornamelijk naar de bronnen, die ik ook deels zal aanhalen. Dus voel ik mezelf afhankelijk van de Engelstalige bronnen, die bronnen die ik zelf ook gebruik(te).  Ook al schrijf ik dit stuk in het Nederlands, om de materie tot je te nemen dien je de Engelse taal machtig te zijn.

Abstracties verwijderen
Grammar, Logic, Rhetoric. In het digitale tijdperk wellicht beter samen te vatten als "input, processing, output", of filosofisch weg te schrijven als "thesis, antithesis, synthesis". Kort uitgelegd het verzamelen van informatie, het verwerken hiervan en erover kunnen spreken. Maar dat maakt het nog niet minder abstract, en verklaart al helemaal niet waarom het zo van belang is juist die volgorde aan te houden. Laat ik dat proberen toe te lichten.

Voor een kind is het normaal om nieuwe informatie tot zich te nemen, immers begint het brein als een blanco blaadje. Wanneer er nieuwe informatie bijkomt, dan wordt dat samengevoegd of verwerkt met eerdere informatie om tot een nieuw beeld te komen. Als je een kind erover vraag zal het er ronduit over vertellen, naar eer en geweten. Maar we weten allemaal dat het (wereld)beeld van een kind niet compleet is. Er zal nieuwe informatie bijkomen die het wereldbeeld (volledig) doet veranderen. Een proces dat zich blijft herhalen bij allerhande onderwerpen. Of dit nu het maken van een puzzel of het leren van een taal betreft.

Dit natuurlijke proces zien we ook op andere plaatsen in het leven terug, bijvoorbeeld wanneer we een specifiek vak willen leren. Je kunt je hele leven bij blijven leren. Maar dan kunnen we het al weer iets specifieker maken. Als je timmerman wilt worden zul je eerst de basisbegrippen van het vak jezelf eigen moeten maken. Je moet weten wat een hamer en een spijker is, een zaagmachine en een waterpas. Dat is de grammatica. Je zult moeten leren hoe je die middelen gebruikt en wanneer welk middel gepast is. Je beseft dat de zaag niet bedoeld is om te timmeren en de hamer juist wel. Daarmee maak je een beeld van de werkzaamheden van de timmerman. werkvolgorde bepalen, bouwtekeningen lezen en inschatting van materialengebruik. De dialectiek. Vervolgens kun je het ook laten zien, uitvoeren, of zelfs onderwijzen aan anderen. De retorica. Op zich logische kost toch?

Maar hoe vaak komt het in uw leven dat de weg van de Trivium niet in de juiste volgorde wordt afgelegd of er een fase wordt overgeslagen? Hoe vaak komt het voor dat u een mening uitspreekt zonder er eigenlijk iets of veel van te weten? Hoe vaak heeft u een mening terwijl u niet beseft hoe u daaraan komt? Hoe vaak denkt u een goede basis te hebben voor uw wereldbeeld, terwijl u mogelijk niet alle of verkeerde informatie als basis had, zonder dit te beseffen? Maar al te vaak, het gebeurt mij ook...

Tsunami aan informatie
De hoeveelheid informatie die op ons afkomt blijft met de dag toenemen. De informatie die ik nu in een jaar tot me kan nemen, is ongekend veel groter dan de mogelijkheid die iemand een eeuw geleden had. Met een paar drukken op de knop zie ik direct wat er aan de hand is in Oekraïne, weet ik hoeveel centimeter een inch is of kan ik mezelf onbeperkt verdiepen in de 2e Wereldoorlog. Maar in hoeverre is die informatie betrouwbaar?

Er wordt gezegd dat wanneer het niet op Twitter staat het niet echt gebeurd is. Ook wordt er gezegd dat je niet alles moet geloven wat op internet staat. Hoe je er ook over denkt, het informatietijdperk is hier. Dit wordt beseft aan de consumenten kant, degene die de informatie tot zich neemt, maar ook door de aanbiedende kant, degene die de informatie beschikbaar is. Daar zitten amateurs bij en professionals. Goed- en kwaadwillende bronnen of mensen. Het is zaak daar als individu al dan niet waarde aan te hechten en tot een eigen wereldbeeld te komen. Soms is het niet makkelijk al die informatie te filteren in je eentje, en vertrouw je op een autoriteit. Dit kan een auteur zijn, een documentairemaker of een journalist of krant.

Iedereen heeft een eigen voorkeur voor bepaalde bronnen. De een die kijkt graag naar Hart in het land, de ander leest graag een boek van Socrates. Alles is prima. Maar hoe vaak denk je er als informatieconsument over na wie de bron is of wat die bron nu eigenlijk zegt. Laat staan dat je nadenkt over wat het nu eigenlijk betekent wat er in jouw hersenen binnenkomt? Hoe bewust ben je van de politieke praatjes? Denk je na over de boodschap? Niet? Kies je op basis van "charisma"?

De trivium methode geeft handvatten om informatie te consumeren op een logische en gestructureerde manier. Je leert begrijpen wat er wordt gezegd, de contradicties worden eruit gehaald en een consistent wereldbeeld wordt gevormd. Daarvoor is het belangrijk de 3 elementen van de Trivium te leren kennen en ermee om te leren gaan.

Vragen?
Een kind vraag aldoor, een volwassenen heeft die drang stukken minder. Toch is het belangrijk vragen te stellen, bij alles. Oh ja is dat zo wat hij zegt? Wie is die persoon? Wat zijn de alternatieven? Etc etc. Als je zelf de route van je leven wilt bepalen zul je de teugels zelf in de handen moeten nemen. Doe je dat niet dan wordt de route voor jou door anderen bepaald, bewust of onbewust. Daarom nu twee aparte manieren om tegen de 3 elementen aan te kijken.

Grammatica
Dit zijn de bouwstenen van een onderwerp. Je moet de taal begrijpen. Dit begint bij de letters en de letterlijke taal als in Nederlands of Engels. Maar wanneer het specifiek wordt zul je ook jargon moeten kennen. Je wordt nooit een graffiti artiest als je niet eens weet wat een "tag" of "piece" is. Maar ook is het belangrijk te weten hoe je een boek het beste kunt leren of leren. Dit is de basis om in een onderwerp te duiken, om het even welk onderwerp.

Dialectiek
Met die bouwstenen ga je aan de slag. Je leest, luistert en leert van alles over een onderwerp waarmee je een kennisbank opbouwt. Om een zo compleet mogelijk beeld te krijgen dient er vanuit allerlei hoeken, en zelfs tegenovergestelde visies, geleerd te worden. Er wordt overwogen, tegenstellingen worden verwijderd en er ontstaat een bepaalde eigen visie op dat onderwerp.

Retorica
Hier heb je de grammatica jezelf eigen gemaakt en een divers palet aan invalshoeken aan een onderwerp blootgesteld. Je hebt jezelf een beeld gevorm, een vak geleerd of een nieuwe hobby opgepikt. Je bent er goed genoeg voor ingewijd om erover te kunnen spreken of zelfs iemand hierover iets bij te brengen.

Dat is een manier om er naar te kijken. Een andere manier is het meer te zien in het licht van onderzoek. Dit kan een groot onderzoek zijn, maar ook de beoordeling van een krantenartikel. Het wordt dan ook tastbaarder wanneer ik zeg dat het hiermee geregeld mis gaat. Hoe vaak gebeurt het niet dat je een mening hebt over dit of dat land, wat er daar dient te gebeuren. Of ik het nu heb over Rusland of Syrië, Cuba of de Verenigde Staten, vaak is onze mening op niet meer gebaseerd dan de flarden nieuws die via de NOS of krant vluchtig aan onze aandacht voorbij gingen. Vandaar het volgende:

Grammatica - Wie? Wat? Waar? Wanneer?

Dialectiek - Waarom?

Retorica - Hoe?

Wanneer er een probleem of stelling zich voordoet, dan is de waarom-vraag een veelgehoorde eerste reactie. Het is zaak te beseffen dat je die vraag niet (voor jezelf) kunt beatwoorden als je de elementen die ervoor horen niet hebt behandeld. Iedereen snapt dat het onmogelijk is het toetje te eten als je de menukaart nog niet eens gelezen hebt. Maar als ditzelfde principe wordt toegepast op het denken stapt men hier zo overheen.

De volgorde is belangrijk, "Grammar, Logic, Rhetoric". En wanneer je in de retorica fase zit, kan er door nieuwe ontwikkelingen alstijd nieuwe informatie ontstaan. Ook dit gaat weer van vooraf aan door het traject. Het is als het ware nieuwe "grammatica", die verwerkt je met je bestaande visie in de dialectiek om zo weer tot een (al dan niet) nieuw inzicht te komen voor je retorica. En dit proces is onophoudelijk.

Hopelijk is het een beetje duidelijk wat de Trivium Methode inhoudt. Zo niet, dan kan ik me dat heel goed voorstellen. Niets beters dan jezelf erin te verdiepen, want slechts daardoor groeit je kennis en visie. Ik heb ook niet de illusie dat ik een autoriteit ben op het gebied van dit onderwerp, maar ik vind het belangrijk genoeg dit (nu al) met jullie te delen.

Wat volgt zijn een aantal links, documenten en filmpjes of presentaties/gesprekken. Het zijn bronnen die ik van grote waarde vind. Meer over dit onderwerp zal volgen, maar dit is een prima introductie in mijn ogen. Als u aanvullingen hebt dan verneem ik dat graag via mail of als commentaar onder dit bericht. The solution we have found is David Allen’s Getting Things Done: The Art Of Stress-Free Productivity audio series (link below), which is an excellent, and immediate, application of a trivium-style methodology while you study the trivium. It’s highly recommended that you begin your studies with his audio series, or, if you prefer, the book. However, we have found the audio series to be preferred and something you can repeatedly review while in the car or elsewhere.

The 2001 anthrax letter attacks in the United States killed five people and wounded dozens. They were widely blamed on extremist Muslims and their backers and used to support the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq.

They were also used to justify and hasten the passage of the USA PATRIOT Act, which was being presented to Congress just as the first anthrax victim grew ill.

In October 2001, one of the hypotheses that gained ground was that of the Double Perpetrator, the claim that al-Qaeda was carrying out the attacks with the support of Iraq. Much evidence was put forth to support this Double Perpetrator hypothesis but independent scientists soon discovered that the anthrax spores came from a domestic lab in the US serving the military and intelligence communities, not from al-Qaeda or Iraq.

The FBI then quickly claimed that an individual was responsible for the attacks and began noisily looking for this “lone wolf.” In 2008 the Bureau named Dr. Bruce Ivins of the US Army Medical Institute of Infectious Disease as the “anthrax killer.” Although the FBI remains committed to the Ivins hypothesis, the case has been disintegrating for the last three years. Currently, it is justly held in contempt not merely by scientists who worked with Ivins but by many journalists as well as several US senators. But this raises the question: if Ivins did not commit this crime, who did?

This book presents evidence to support the following points:

(a) The anthrax attacks were carried out by a group of perpetrators, not by a “lone wolf.” The attacks were, therefore, the result of a conspiracy— by definition a plan by two or more people, made in secret and resulting in an immoral or illegal act.

(b) The group that carried out this crime consisted, in whole or in part, of insiders deep within the US state apparatus.

(c) These insiders were the same people who planned the 9/11 attacks

(d) The anthrax attacks were meant to facilitate a seizure of power by the executive branch of government through intimidation of Congress and US civil society. They were also designed to achieve public acquiescence to and support for the redefinition of US foreign policy, replacing the Cold War with a new and aggressive global conflict framework, the Global War on Terror.

American Anthrax

Kunt u zich nog herinneren dat een week na de verschrikkelijke aanslagen op 11 september 2001 in de VS en een tweede golf van terreur over het land raasde? Diverse brieven met het dodelijke anthrax poeder werden verstuurd naar media en democratische politici, waarbij 5 mensen het leven lieten en 17 gewonden vielen. Wederom hield angst het land in zijn grip.

Eerst werd de schuld in de schoenen geschoven van Al-Qaida. Immers stonden er anti-Amerika leuzen op de brieven. Later kreeg Irak de schuld, wat zo'n beetje als opstap heeft gediend voor Colin Powel, om tijdens zijn zogenaamde "Powell point presentatie" de VN leugens te verkopen en hen de oorlog in te leiden. Zowel Al-Qaida als Irak als dader dienden een doel in het geroffel van de oorlogstrommel, maar hadden absoluut geen werkelijke basis. Vervolgens werd Steven Hatfill door de FBI aangewezen als "person of interest" in de zaak, en werd hij werkelijk afgeslacht door de media, hoewel achteraf bleek dat hij onschuldig bleek. Toen was Bruce Edwards Ivans aan de beurt. Hij bezweek onder de grote druk en overleed aan een overdosis drugs. Ondanks dat de FBI nooit sluitend bewijs heeft gepresenteerd voor zijn schuld, sloten zei de zaak in 2010. Het heeft de Amerikanen miljoenen gekost om de rechtszaken af te kopen. Maar wie zat er nu eigenlijk echt achter deze morbide brieven?

Dat de brieven een binnenlands politiek doel dienden is na meer dan 10 jaar wel duidelijk. Oorlogen moesten worden gestart en de "Patriot act" moest en zou door het congres worden goedgekeurd. De aanslagen op 911 hadden een flinke impact gehad op de Amerikaanse burger waardoor de angst voor terrorisme er goed in zat. De Anthrax brieven deden hier nog een schepje bovenop. Angst is een machtig politiek middel, maar realistisch gezien een enorm slechte raadgever. Maar de "War on Terror (WoT)" kon worden gestart met de steun van het volk. Hoewel de term sinds 2009 officieel niet meer wordt gebruikt dendert de mondiale oorlog door tot op de dag van vandaag.

In de korte documentaire "American Anthrax" wordt duidelijk hoe dit verhaal zich uitrolde en wat de rol van bepaalde politici en media hierin was. Een enorm saillante "detail" in dit verhaal is toch wel dat het Bush regiem in het Witte huis het tegengif (cipro/ciproxin) heeft ingenomen op 11 september, een week voordat de brieven werden verstuurd. Judicial Watch heeft hierover verschillende FOIA requests (de Amerikaanse versie van een WOB-verzoek) gedaan in het belang van honderden medewerkers van de Amerikaanse postkantoren. Tevergeefs...

Het heeft er alle schijn van dat Bush en consorten op de hoogte waren dat er iets stond te gebeuren, hier zelf bescherming tegen innam, maar de rest van het land in het ongewist liet. Onder andere 2 medewerkers van het postagentschap zijn overleden door het inademen van anthrax. Waren er inlichtingen over een ophanden zijnde anthrax aanval? Als Bush en co niet op de hoogte waren, dan is het hoogst opmerkelijk dat oude mannen zonder reden een dergelijk middel met fixe bijwerkingen zouden innemen.

Is het nog niet opmerkelijk genoeg?
Ondanks de initiële beschuldigingen aan het adres van Al-qaida en Irak, en later de 2 wetenschappers, blijkt het dat de anthrax sporen afkomstig waren van een Amerikaanse legerbasis!

Ik zou zeggen bekijk de korte docu en het interview wat ik daaronder heb geplaats als introductie in dit verhaal.

(Of course there is another way of looking at it, and that is that we did not perceive the real Obama, we saw the Obama we wanted to see and Obama is actually just as NeoCon-influenced as George W. Bush EVER was.)
 

Nuland and Kagan, and separately John McCain were extremely active in Kiev in the lead-up to and long continuation of the Maidan riots. Nuland and Kagan prepared placemen to take over once the presidency/government was toppled.

The US has admitted that $5,000,000,000 dollars was spent by them in Ukraine over the past 20 years... on “improving democracy”. I’m sure I don’t have to relate what was undoubtedly the true purpose of this massive spend.
 

The Maidan revolution started peacefully enough. In November of 2013 it was pretty much a good-hearted protest about widespread political and business corruption. And there was huge merit in it.
 

However, there is an element in Ukrainian society that holds true to a heritage in Ukraine stemming from World War Two. There was a widespread collaboration with the Nazi occupiers in Ukraine. Many Ukrainians joined Nazi divisions including SS.

As in southern Austria there is a widespread justification cult about how it was really not so bad to be a Nazi and how they actually did a lot of good for Ukraine. No prizes for guessing who joins these groups, attends their marches and so forth: Sons and daughters or grandsons and granddaughters of those who took part in the various atrocities of the Nazis or who worked in the background for them.

In Ukraine it is much, much worse than in Austria. There the cult of sympathising with and even praising the Nazis has reached a sizeable minority in Ukraine and they are accepted and appear to have almost achieved respectability.
 

If you watched the videos of the Svoboda Party (ex- Social-Nationalist Party) supporters you will see what I mean. They don’t all look like evil, hate-filled Nazi thugs, some are older, looking like everyday folk you might see down at the shops, others are fresh-faced girls and boys who look like your normal everyday teenager.

But they have one thing in common, they are all charged with an intense, fired-up ultra-nationalism that is stated in terms of ultra-violence against Russia and Russians. And there is also a massive hatred toward the people who live in the southeast of Ukraine who they sneeringly call ‘Moskals’. In essence they consider them to be Russians too.
 

A large number of those with this Nazi-legacy mentality, of Nazi collaboration having helped Ukrainian nationalism, who had had military training in Poland apparently joined the Maidan protest and turned it into an all-out riot.
 

Around twenty police were clubbed, burned, beaten or shot to death in the course of the riots. Molotov cocktail factories supplied the rioters and these were thrown at lightly armed (they had no guns, only baton) police who in later stages simply formed benumbed lines against these attacks. The rioters used trucks, iron bars and a whole arsenal of potentially lethal weapons, sprays and actual guns such as hunting rifles, handguns and shotguns.
 

It was as bestial an affair as any of us would ever hope NOT to see. These rioters were utterly sadistic in their determination to maim and kill. Ultra-violent thugs to whom human life had lost all meaning and all concepts of human decency had been long scraped from their diseased consciences.

Many of these soulless sadists joined the Ukraine armed forces after the coup and were sent east toward those they hated with a passion, those they called the ‘Moskals’.
 

So, this is the sinister backdrop to the lethal attacks on the southeast we have seen (or have not seen due to the information blackout on these events by western mass media). These crimes have been supported by the US, the EU and apparently every western press title and mass media outlet from the west coast of America to the west bank of the River Dneiper which runs through the centre of Ukraine.
 

I’d like to mention the Odessa atrocity where evidence appears to show that two groups of pro-Kiev ultra football fans emerging from a match were deliberately goaded into a frenzy of hate before attacking a large number of pro-Russian protesters (as they are sometimes known, though I prefer pro-Autonomy protesters).

 

The protesters were forced by the mob into the Trade Union building in Odessa, a huge impressive building with many floors. The ultras (who were composed of Ukrainian nationalists in the main) followed them in clubbing, strangling and undoubtedly shooting them until many of them lay dead.

They then retreated back outside, barriered the doors and set the building alight with molotov cocktails (supplied by a group of around 12 teenage girls who looked like butter wouldn’t melt in their mouths).
 

Many of those trapped inside tried crawled onto window ledges to escape the flames. They were shot at from below. Some jumped to their deaths. Others jumped and survived only to be clubbed to death by the thugs below. In one image quite young boys, perhaps aged between 12 and 15 can be seen at a window. It is not known to me what became of them. I hope someone took pity on them.
 

Although the subsequent images of the burned corpses were available on the internet reaction in the western press was subdued. Some source said the protesters had done this to themselves. Others sheltered behind the convenient excuse that it was all too confusing and they couldn’t tell who had done what.
 

Is there ANY excuse for killing scores of frightened young people, some who were young women and in some reports small children? I do not believe any decent human being would think so.

Returning to the Maidan, the overthrowing of a democratically-elected government (observers called the elections “fair" and pluralistic") would be bad enough but with the west so actively and enthusiastically backing the ultra-violence of the Maidan thugs it gets worse.
 

The Kiev junta put in place by the US (their placemen as described took over with 4 Svoboda MPs within the subsequent junta) turned to the sadistic young Svoboda supporters and the horrifically violent Right Sector militant group to give them a week’s training or so then set them loose on the people of southeast Ukraine.
 

For a time their actions included intimidation and blocking roads but then they killed some checkpoint guards and it all began. Soon they were mortar shelling residential areas, hospitals, schools and even an orphanage. Very soon these attacks upon urban areas and civilians became the norm and things became extremely bloody. Not that you would have known if you were relying on western press or media to inform you. They either self-censored on all of this or were ordered by western states not to report on these atrocities by the Ukraine forces.
 

In Lugansk on June 2nd 2014 there was THE most horrendous attack by at least one fighter jet and an unknown number of helicopters. A strike was made on an office in an upper floor of the administration building there which has been long occupied by pro-Autonomy personnel. Without doubts the civilian administrators in this office were killed instantly.
 

Down in the street in front of the building there was a simultaneous strafing by what appear to be cluster bomblets. A number of casings from these have been found and the mini-craters can be seen in the videos which exist on YouTube.

Five civilian women were killed in this attack. In a video of the aftermath women in casualwear can be seen, with mutilated legs in one case, others quite clearly dead. One woman still alive but with skin gouged out of her leg.
 

A scene from World War II could not have looked bloodier. 8 people died in all and many have been injured/mutilated for life. All civilians.
 

The videos you will find if you look for them on YouTube are among the most graphic you will ever watch. But I suggest you SHOULD watch them.
 

You will perhaps say that surely the world was shocked and dismayed that such an atrocity could happen, that ANY government could do it in this day and age and that organisations across the western world were outraged and condemned this massacre.
 

But you would be disappointed. Because there was a perfect silence across the whole western world.
 

Why?
 

For the same reason that the Lugansk atrocity has no doubt come as news to YOU. There was in effect an almost 100% news blackout on this right across the western world. The screams of the civilians who suffered incredible agonies while in their death throes were completely silenced

George Orwell’s ‘1984‘ world of two fighting superpowers where all news is manipulated news has come to pass. And where reality or non-reality is at the behest of the governing power. We are no longer living in the world we thought we were. A sinister ability to silence all press and media is now revealed. And in that silence no one can hear their screams except those NEXT to die.
 

And the future of Ukraine? It is tied in with the future of the virulent and paranoid fear of Russia which drives so much incredible hatred in the souls of some Ukrainians and some westerners, certainly including the so-called leadership of the US and EU.

Russia, China and some other BRICS plus countries in Latin America, Syria, Iran and others are now building the elements of the multipolar world that was lost as the communist (socialist) bloc fell. But not in terms of re-building the USSR. No, Russia will never go back to those conditions which incorporated deep flaws (for all the magnificent ideals and achievements). But the US and EU MUST be faced down and quarantined for they are lethally insane in their ambitions, in a state of near collapse internally with EU-skepticism growing EU is particularly vulnerable. And the US is so deeply sick with innumerable causes that it is only a matter of time before it suffers an internal vortex of collapse, decay and violence.
 

But the US and EU are even MORE dangerous in these parlous states. Obama in US was seen as an agent of change similar to John F. Kennedy. He has turned out to be nothing of the kind.
 

We should realise that whoever takes over in 2016 will without doubt be even worse. Best case scenario would be that the administration then would simply carry on as it is now with no worsening of the NeoCon insanity which permeates each level of power in Washington.
 

The danger which constantly emanates from the US means we MUST use every legal means possible to undermine its ability to continue to interfere across our planet.
 

Most people have few possibility other than their own boycotts or use of internet to protest. But we CAN speed the economic decline and collapse of the US economy by refusing any and all goods or services with an American origin. It’s not much but it’s something.
 

Apart from this get onto Twitter and condemn American interference with all your might. And the obnoxious junta in Kiev. And to go on doing so night and day. You will find many friends there who are part of the same dedicated team of pro-Autonomy tweeters. They are a lovely, incredibly idealistic bunch. You’ll LOVE them.
 

Protest the American state and its ambition to gain world hegemony. Support those who act to  remove countries from the EU. The primary goal is to bring the EU to its knees, a result desperately needed as it has become, in effect, America’s lapdog.
 

So, that’s my penny’sworth on where we are on Ukraine, on the mangy parrot of the EU and the primary driving force of evil in our world, the evil snake that is the U.S. state.
