Syrië - Het debat over burgerslachtoffers

Burgerslachtoffers zijn een vaak onbesproken gevolg van een oorlog. Zou dit besproken worden dan zou dit grote gevolgen kunnen hebben voor het draagvlak voor een oorlog. Met te veel burgerslachtoffers kan die de steun wel eens omdraaien tot afkeuren. En dat is niet voor iedere partij gewenst, voornamelijk de oorlogsindustrie heeft daar een broertje dood aan.

Recent verkondigde het Pentagon dat sinds 2014 minstens 352 burgers zijn omgekomen door de bombardementen van de coalitie onder leiding van de VS, in Irak en Syrië. Organisaties die zelfstandig deze aantallen bijhouden claimen dat het eerder minstens 3000 burgerdoden betreft. Een debat over deze discrepantie is daarom zeer op z'n plaats.

Dus volgde er op Press TV tijdens het programma "The Debate" een boeiend gesprek tussen journaliste Marwa Osman vanuit Beiroet en Michael Lane vanuit Washington. Hij is de oprichter van het American Institute of Foreign Policy. En deze dame veegt echt volledig de vloer aan met de Amerikaan, tot op een punt dat hij zich gedwongen voelt om te verschuilen achter de officiële propaganda vanuit het Pentagon. Het is een boeiend gesprek, intellectueel domineert Marwa Osman Michael Lane volledig. Ik zei op Facebook al:

This is next level intellectual ass whooping!

Maar het is niet het perspectief van de dame welke de Westers media domineert. Vandaar dat ik dit graag met de wereld deel. Dit goed geïnformeerde en genuanceerde geluid zouden we veel meer moeten horen. Dat zou veel burgerslachtoffers kunnen schelen, in de strijd tegen de door het Westen gesteunde Barbaren van IS, Al-Qaeda, Al-Nusra en andere terroristen die bijna liefkozend "rebellen" worden genoemd.

De komende tijd zal ik meer en meer bronnen gaan delen die lijnrecht ingaan tegen de propaganda die we via onze eigen media onze hersenpan in wordt gestampt. Maar om te beginnen deel ik naast dit video-debat ook nog graag wat leesvoer in het kader van de cijfers over burgerslachtoffers.

Nicolas J S Davies scheef recent "Through the 'War on Terror’ Looking Glass" warin wordt gesteld dat de cijfers gecommuniceerd door bijvoorbeeld het Pentagon gerust vermenigvuldigd mogen worden met de factor 5 tot 20! Eerder schreef hij al "Playing Games with War Deaths" waarin al duidelijk werd welke spelletjes er worden gespeeld met de cijfers om onze beeldvorming te beïnvloeden. Uitermate boeiende artikelen, waarvan ik hoop dat mijn bezoekers ze zullen lezen.

Het is de hoogste tijd door de propaganda omtrent Syrië heen te prikken! De horror duurt nu al veel te lang, zonder zicht op een oplossing. En kennis is een deel van de oplossing. Ik wens u veel wijsheid toe.

The Syria Strikes: A Conspiracy Theory

James Corbett heeft weer een geweldige video online gezet van minder dan 5 minuten, waarin door middel van satire, pijnlijk duidelijk wordt hoe absurd de explosieve situatie rondom het conflict in Syrië is. Het gaat razendsnel en zit tjokvol informatie zodat het wellicht gaat duizelen voor je ogen. Maar niet gevreesd want de gehele tekst en de bronnen om zijn verhaal te onderbouwen worden zoals gewoonlijk weer meegeleverd.

Het is gewoon een herhaling van de aanloop naar de oorlog met Irak in 2003. Leugens en propaganda voeren de boventoon en rationaliteit wordt weggezet als steun voor de dictator Assad en complotdenken. Ik zou in dat kader graag George W. Bush willen citeren:

“There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.”

Informeer jezelf en zorg ervoor dat het niet je onderbuik maar je hersenpan is die je laat spreken.

On the morning of April 4th 2017, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, on the verge of a military victory against the terrorist insurgency in his country and on the eve of peace talks that would secure his position as president, decided to use chemical weapons he didn’t have against a target of no military significance in front of as many cameras as possible to cross the one red line that would insure his own government’s downfall.

That military strike, a volley of 59 Tomahawk land attack missiles of which 23 actually made it to their target, failed to take out a single runway or even keep the airbase from operating for even 24 hours, but was a complete success for ExxonMobil, Raytheon and Donald Trump.

No one could question the wisdom of striking Syria (except Donald Trump). And no one could oppose such a move (except Russia).

The Trump Train, still convinced by candidate Trump (“dropping bombs on Assad” and “look what happened after Gaddafi“)  concluded that this was 7th dimensional backgammon to make China afraid of the US’ willingness to spend $100 million in a fearsome show of failing to destroy a single airfield.

Throughout the world people rejoice as a horrible secular regime in the Middle East is replaced by yet another peace-loving band of ragtag human rights campaigners and child beheaders motivated by a desire to subdue the armies of Rome in an apocalyptic confrontation in Dabiq. (*actual ISIS belief)
The chemicals for the previous “red line” attack in Syria have since been proven to come from Libya with US approval, but that’s probably not relevant to this case.

The CIA has released declassified report after declassified report showing that the plan to topple Syria’s government has been in the works for decades, but this just shows that they were right all along.

The mainstream media unquestioningly asserts that the story is true because the US government says so, but that’s OK because we all know the msm is full of unbiased truthtellers and dig hard to get the raw facts on every story. (“beauty of our weapons“)

Even members of congress think the story is a load of hogwash, but that’s OK because they’re probably crazy.

Meanwhile the White House has released a report on its intelligence about the chemical attack that refutes its own version of the story, but that’s OK because when has the White House ever lied people into war?
